The operations stemmed from the tip-offs by Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials who had watched the products deemed harmful to consumers which led to the police investigation that identified the manufacturing sources.
The four site owners would face charges including selling food with inaccurate labels, which is punishable with a Bt30,000 fine, selling fake food products, punishable with a jail term of six months up to 10 years and fines of Bt100,000 and selling contaminated food, punishable with two years and a fine of Bt20,000.
