Following a report of the car engine catching fire in front of the Tesco Lotus branch in Hang Chat district, rescue workers rushed to the Mitsubishi seven-seat van and extinguished the fire, but the vehicle&rsquo;s engine was completely damaged. 
The van had been installed with an LPG tank last month and had been parked at his wife&rsquo;s home in Tambon Muang Yao, he told police.

A Bangkok man was in shock after his van, which had been installed with an LPG tank last month, caught fire on Sunday morning while he was driving to take his wife on an errand in Lampang province.
