Ceremony marks royal cremation anniversary

Culture Ministry is hosting the “His Majesty will live in our hearts eternally” exhibition at Bangkok’s National Museum from October 25 to November 2, Culture Minister Vira Rojpojanarat told a press conference today (Thursday) at the National Museum.

To mark a year since the cremation of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 26, the ceremony will be highlighted at the nine-day event.

Held at the Royal Carriage Museum inside the National Museum, photography, video presentations, carriages and sculptures used in the Royal Cremation Ceremony for King Bhumibol will be included at the exhibition.

The display will also feature the commemorative ceremony books.

The King’s musical compositions, poetry and khon (masked dance) will be performed. Tours lead to royal carriages and other decorations from the royal cremation.

There will be talks held on October 27.

Admission is free.
