The truck was found at a right angle on the side of the Phuket road.

The male driver, suspected to be in his early 30s, sustained injuries to his forehead and hand. The driver was picked up by his friend after rescue workers gave him first aid.

Thalang police said they believed the driver was speeding and lost control on a bend. They are checking CCTV.

Driver survives Phuket speed-sign crash

A pickup driver has survived after the vehicle he was driving collided with a speed sign in Thalang on Thursday morning.
