Mitsubishi unveils small-scale elevators and escalators

Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., LTD. will showcase small-scale elevators and escalators at the “Baan Lae Suan Fair 2018”, which will be held from October 26 to November 4 at Impact Arena in Muang Thong Thani.

The company will debut its NEXIEZ-S, elevators for residential and small building uses that can function without needing space to house an engine.
The firm is confident these small-scale elevators will be of interest to the residential, small office and commercial building sectors. The vertical transportation device starts at Bt1 million and is expected to be well-received in the era of an ageing society and the expansion of urban areas and transportation infrastructures.
The new elevator model is also expected to contribute to this year’s growth of the elevator and escalator sector, which is estimated to be more than 30 per cent.
Munehisa Okamoto, the Managing Director of Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., LTD., said: “Mitsubishi Elevator had tremendous success this year, thanks to the expansion of cities and the increasing number of transportation projects in the capital.
“These development programs contributed to the growth of the nation’s elevator and escalator sector. Mitsubishi Elevator also has the majority of the market share, with major real estate developers being the firm’s [main] customers.
“In order to further promote the market, Mitsubishi Elevator will introduce new innovative ‘lift and escalator’ products at the fair.”
“The fair, held under the theme “Changes For A Better Life”, will showcase the company’s new line of products, the NEXIEZ-S small-scale elevators, which start at Bt1 million.
“Due to their small size, they can be installed in residences and small offices, and can handle 4-6 passenger per trip.
“The new model will cater for the demand for elevators in high-end residences, small offices and “home offices” with 2-10 floors, whose the need for ‘small lifts’ is rising, as Thailand becomes an ageing society.
