JS100 traffic radio station reported at 8.34am that the level of the water was about 15 centimetres high, causing the already bad traffic to come to a standstill. 
The traffic on Lat Phrao has become even more congested of late following the start of construction of an elevated electric train system.

Traffic on Lat Phrao Road worsens as water pipe ruptures

Motorists were asked to avoid the notoriously congested Lat Phrao Road between sois 59 and 64 following the rupture of a tap water pipe on Monday morning, leading to flooding.
