HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn grants urn for Vichai bathing rite

Vichai, 60, was Thailand's fifth-richest man when he died in a horrific helicopter accident after watching his team play in England last Saturday.
Vichai's body will be transported on a private jet and is due to arrive in Thailand on Friday for the funeral rites held at Wat Debsirindrawas Ratchaworawiharn's Sala Kawi Niramit in Bangkok.
The bathing rite will be held at 5.30pm on Saturday, followed by the Abhidhamma Recitation Ceremony which will be held at 6.30pm. The Abhidhamma Recitation Ceremony will be held nightly from November 4 until November 9, three nights of which are with royal sponsorship.
The funeral host has requested that no funeral wreaths be sent, as funeral merit-making contributions can be made by donating to the Navamindrabopitr 84th anniversary building at Siriraj Foundation, Siriraj Hospital.
The royal sponsored cremation rite will be confirmed at a later date.
Vichai made billions from his King Power duty-free monopoly in Thailand, using the money to invest in hotels, horses and Leicester's once-unremarkable football club, which won the Premier League in 2016.
Vichai leaves behind a wife and four children, all five of whom are on the executive board of King Power.
Meanwhile, grieving relatives of former Miss Thailand Universe 2005 contestant Nusara Suknamai, who was one of the two members of Vichai's staff who also died in the crash, prepared for her funeral at Wat Pherm Than in Pathum Thani's Khlong Luang district as Nusara's body was expected to arrive in Thailand on Friday.
