Three Prachuap Khiri Khan districts remain under water, more than 12,000 families affected

Three districts in the southern province of Prachuap Khiri Khan are still reeling from the flooding caused by heavy rain since November 7, the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department reported Wednesday.

Chayapol Thitisak, director general of the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department, said 27,961 people from 1,398 families in 18 tambon in Bang Saphan Noi, Bang Saphan and Tap Sakae districts were still affected.
Flooding occurred in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon and Phetchaburi provinces from November 7 to November 13, although the situation has returned to normal in Chumphon and Phetchaburi and in one district of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
More than 76,000 people from 32,545 families in 13 districts in the three provinces had been affected, he said.
