Myanmar man accused of killing friend over blanket

A Myanmar man in Kanchanaburi was arrested early on Friday for allegedly stabbing his friend to death for using his blanket without permission.

Pol Capt Kasan Para, deputy inspector of Sai Yok police, said Ngo, 48, surrendered to police at his hut in Tambon Wang Krajae in Sai Yok district after briefly fleeing the scene.
He is accused of using a meat cleaver to attack his friend, Khunpol Promsaeng, 41, who suffered stab wounds to his head, arms and legs and was found lying on a bamboo bed under a tree in front of the hut.
Ngo told police that his Thai friend had gone to visit him and borrowed his blanket while he was out fishing.
Ngo said they had an argument over it when he got back and he ended up attacking his friend out of rage.
