Blankets needed for poor Chiang Mai hill-tribe villagers

Tambon Samoeng Municipality in Samoeng district has requested the blankets from the provincial administration, says it mayor, Suwan Saengprasit.
Suwan said the temperature in his tambon had decreased to 15 degrees Celsius on Tuesday morning, and the approximately 1,400 hill-tribe residents of Moo 6 and 11 villages located on mountains need will need to keep warm.
Suwan said this winter could see the temperature in Chiang Mai fall below 10C.
