Muslim man killed, another injured in drive-by shooting in Narathiwat
A Muslim man was killed and another injured when they were attacked in a drive-by shooting over a possible personal matter in Narathiwat early on Tuesday, police said.
The Rangae police station was alerted of the shooting on a road in Ban Khao Kaew village in tambon Marue Botok, Rangae district at 2.05am.
Police said Ma-ahbidi Kaje, 33, was shot in the head and body and died beside his motorcycle.
His pillion rider, Marowi Pohmaelisoh, 26, was shot once in his right knee and was rushed to Yingor Hospital.
Police found three spent 9mm pistol shells at the scene.
Police said a motorbike caught up with Ma-ahbidi’s motorcycle and the pillion rider fired three shots at the two before the attackers fled.
Police said the shooting might be motivated by personal conflicts.
