His Majesty grants 2,000 blankets to poor families in Phichit
His Majesty the King graciously granted 2,000 blankets to 2,000 poor families in four districts of Phichit on Friday.
The King had privy councillor Kasem Watanachai and the Raja Prachanukroh Foundation hand out the blankets at a ceremony held at 10am at the meeting hall of the Wang Sai Phoon disrict office.
The blankets were given to 500 families from Wang Sai Phoon, 500 from Sak Lek district, 500 from Thap Khlo district and 500 from Dong Charoen district.
The four districts are next to the None Maprang mountains and Phetchabun mountains where the weather is cold.
The privy councillor also conveyed His Majesty's concerns for the poor families. The King also had authorities provide food and drinking water to the families that attended the ceremony.
After the ceremony, the privy councillor also represented the King to visit some bed-ridden people in Wang Sai Phoon to provide moral support and some help.
