The Kukot police station was alerted to the fire at 10.50pm.
Firefighters took about half an hour to put out the blaze and later found the body of Suphanee Sinanantrakool, 27, in a bathroom on the second floor. The fire damaged four rooms on the second floor.
Suphanee was the wife of Pongphet Sinsuwan, the former lead singer of the disbanded Bang Kaew group.
Police said the fire apparently started in the prayer room on the second floor.
Forensic science police have yet to determine the cause of the fire.

In a related development, Suphanee's grief-stricken father Banyat Sinanantrakool later told police investigators that he was doubtful about Suphanee's cause of death whether it was an accident or a murder and wished that the autopsy result would soon clarify this, as he recalled that she allegedly often had a fight with Pongphet. He said he would not cremate his daughter's body until the investigation cleared the doubt.
