&ldquo;The warning notifications are for controlling, taking care, precaution, reducing risk and preventing an avoidable disaster off the coast of Phuket,&rdquo; he said. 
He&rsquo;s applying sections of the Virtue of International Security Act 2551, Tourism and Tourist Guide Act 2551 and Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Act 2550.

Phuket governor orders all ships ashore

With a tropical storm closing in, Phuket Governor Phakkaphong Tavipatana has issued an official warning that ships “must” remain on shore in every district on the Andaman coast.
