More than 120 foreign tourists who were stuck on Koh Racha have returned safely to Phuket ahead of tropical storm Pabuk.

A boat from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources Phuket Office was sent on Friday morning to pick up 125 tourists who had been visiting Koh Racha and return them to Phuket.
Phuket’s Governor Phakkaphong Tavipatana said officials are prepared for any emergency situation.
About 700 CCTV cameras around Phuket have been linked to the Flood Storm Landslide Phuket Operation Centre at the Phuket Provincial Hall, he added.

The governor earlier issued an official warning that vessels “must” remain on shore in every district connecting to the Andaman Sea in Phuket ahead of the storm.
Pabuk, the first tropical storm in decades to strike during the peak holiday season, is expected to make landfall on Friday night with the eye passing over Nakhon Si Thammarat further to the south.
