More than Bt412-bn in revenue tax collected
The Revenue Department has collected revenue tax worth Bt412.39 billion for the first quarter of this fiscal year (October 1-December 31, 2018), an increase of 11.3 per cent from the same period last year.
Ekniti Nitithanprapas, director-general of Revenue Department of Finance Ministry said on Friday that the collected amount is higher than the estimated 7.3 per cent.
“We successfully increased the tax collection when the department developed a work process using the risk based audit system or RBA that help us to investigate taxpayers and speed up collection to increase the tax income in this fiscal year,” he said.
He added that the department has confidence it will collect Bt2 trillion in this fiscal year.
