His Majesty sends help to disabled man in Lop Buri

His Majesty the King has had a new house built with water and electricity for a man with atrophied legs in Lop Buri after his plight was reported.

Maj Gen Kalsan Chanthasen represented His Majesty to officially hand over the new concrete bungalow in Khok Charoen district to Diang Kongsiang, 64, on Monday.
Reports about Diang's plight have captured the attention of the King who had the house built for him.
Kalsan said His Majesty told him to organise electricity and tap water to the spot so that other poor villagers could later have access to the utilities. Kalsan said His Majesty had concerns for the old man after learning of his plight and sent help.
It has been reported that Diang has been living in his collapsing shanty house without power and water at the site for 27 years alone after his sister died. He makes a living by pulling weeds for other villagers.
