Mother asks for help to find conscript son
A mother pleaded for public help for tips that could help find her son, an army conscript who disappeared when he returned to his base in Lop Buri in mid-January.
Chamaiporn Noree, 55, said she would welcome any tip that would lead to the whereabouts of her son, Thassapol Noree, 21. Her number is 09-0683-4929.
Thassapol's sister, Supansa Sudsakhon, 36, said Thassapol was allowed to take a break and return home in Chainat after three months’ training in Lop Buri.
Supansa said her brother was supposed to report back to the base on January 17 but he returned to Lop Buri on January 16.
Supansa said Thassapol called home when he reached Lop Buri's bus terminal and called again at midnight that he was eating with friends. The sister said her brother sounded like he was drinking with someone.
But on the morning of January 18, Thassapol's commander called the family to say he did not report back after the break. Supansa said her mother went to Lop Buri to alert the police and to ask the owner of the mobile phone that Thassapol used to call her but the phone owner claimed he knew nothing.
