Five injured in Bangkok condominium fire

Five people suffered smoke inhalation when a fire broke out in a condominium building in Bangkok's Khan Na Yao district on Wednesday night.

Khok Kram police were alerted to the fire at the Lumpini Condo Ram Indra-Navamin at 9.30pm.
The fire apparently started in a room on the second floor of the 24-storey Building D of the condo.
All residents were evacuated before firefighters arrived.
Police said the room was occupied by two residents and a dog. The residents unsuccessfully tried to put out the fire with an extinguisher from the hallway before they sought help from the condo management.
The room owners and three neighbours became sick after inhaling smoke and were taken to hospital.
Police have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
