Rubber sheet smoking plant in Nakhon Si Thammarat damaged by fire
A fire swept through three storage buildings of a rubber-sheet smoking plant in Nakhon Si Thammarat late Monday night.
Ten fire engines took about two hours to get control over the blaze at Ek Latex plant in Moo 13 village in tambon Saopao, Si Chon district.
Police said the fire destroyed some 40 tonnes of smoked rubber sheets kept in the three buildings, with damages estimated at Bt5 million..
The plant is owned by Weera Pianjud, 67.
Police have yet to investigate the cause of the fire.
