Motorcyclist dies after colliding with SUV in Phuket
A motorcycle rider died after colliding with an SUV that had apparently run a red light at an intersection in Koh Kaew on Monday night.
Phuket City police reported on Tuesday that they had been notified of the incident at 8pm.
Police and emergency responders arrived to find a motorbike lodged under the front of an SUV.
The rider was taken to Mission Hospital Phuket, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the SUV had run the red light and collided with the motorbike.
They were continuing their investigation and expected to press charges later today, they added.
