Unemployed Korat woman plunges to death from Bangkok condo

An unemployed woman from Nakhon Ratchasima plunged to her death early on Tuesday from a Bangkok condominium room where she lived with her sisters, police said.

The Klong Tan police station was alerted at 2.45am that Wilaiwan Suwango, 50, died after falling from a room on the eighth floor of a condominium on Soi Onnuj 17 in Bangkok's Suan Luang district.
Her sister, Awilda Suwango, 41, told police that Wilaiwan used to work as a maid for a hotel on Soi Nana but was laid off a month ago and so had returned to live at home in Nakhon Ratchasima.
Awilda said her sister complained of feeling depressed over her job loss and had asked to return to Bangkok to stay with her while looking for a new job.
Awilda said she could not see her sister after waking at 2am. She found the door to the balcony was open and so checked and saw her sister’s body on the ground below.
