Army chief, family cast their votes

Army Commander-in-Chief General Apirat Kongsompong, his wife and daughter arrived at a polling station in Bangkok's Chatuchak district at 8am to cast their votes.

Apirat and his family waited in the line at the 18th polling station inside the compound of the Army headquarters together with other voters to receive the ballots.

The queues at the polling station were long.

After casting his vote, Apirat left without talking to reporters.
