Meth tablets seized from Mae Sai banana plantation
Some 50,000 methamphetamine tablets were seized by rangers of the Pha Muang task force on the Thailand-Myanmar border area in Chiang Rai province.
The drugs were seized at 6am when the patrolling rangers heard a dog barking at someone in an isolated banana plantation in Muang Daeng Tai village, Tambon Mae Sai, in Mae Sai district. They saw someone speed off on a motorcycle. When they rushed to investigate the area, they found a sack hidden among banana plants. The bag held 50,000 meth pills, which have been forwarded to Mae Sai police for further legal action.
