Preparations set for third Intermat Asean in Bangkok

Thai Contractors Association, under H. M. the King's Patronage (TCA), Impact Exhibition Management ((Impact), and Comexposium Group, are set for the third edition of Intermat Asean regional platform for the construction industry.

 More than 300 leading local and international companies will showcase their machines, innovations and technologies. Intermat Asean will take place on September 5-7 2019, Hall 9-10, Impact Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand.
Aungsurus Areekul, President, TCA, said that the 20-year National Strategy Framework aims to increase the competitiveness of the country. The Framework will focus on investments in infrastructure and transportation, such as high-speed rail systems, double-rail systems and a deep sea port to reduce costs and transportation time. 
In addition, the high-rise building project 'One Bangkok', which is Thailand’s first and largest fully integrated district of 1.83 million sqm will integrate commercial offices; retail, hospitality; residential; art and culture; and eight hectares of green and open spaces. 
In addition, the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) development plan is considered a significant project to build relationships with CLMV countries and also include the connections in China's "One Belt One Road". 
Overall, the expected construction and infrastructure spending growth is 5-10 per cent in the Asean region which is worth over US$2.9 trillion (Bt92 trillion).
TCA is proud to co-host Intermat Asean once again, as an important meeting place for the industry professionals.
Loy Joon How, General Manager, Impact, said that Intermat Asean 2019 will cover the entire spectrum of infrastructure development needs of Thailand and the surrounding Asean region. 
In additional to the latest machinery, equipment, products and services, Intermat Asean will also showcase innovations in construction such as the application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in designing of buildings and infrastructure. 
A series of seminars and workshop on the application of digital technology for construction will also be conducted by industry experts during the 3-day event.
