Worker shot dead in front of Samut Sakhon police station

A factory worker was shot and killed in front of a police station in the heart of Samut Sakhon early on Wednesday.

Police said Kawit Muanchu, 37, was murdered on the pavement right in front of the police station in Samut Sakhon's Muang district at 5.30am.
He was shot six times with a 9mm pistol, twice in his abdomen, twice in the back of the neck, once in his right arm and in his right hand.
Police found seven spent shells of 9mm ammunition at the scene.
Kawit was a resident of Muang district and worked at a fish-ball factory.
A witness told police that he saw the victim quarrelling with another man at an ATM booth in front of the police station. A woman walked towards them to try to stop the quarrel, but the other man pulled out a pistol, fired multiple shots at Kawit and then walked away.
Police are questioning the woman in a bid to solve the case.
