His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn on Saturday wore a golden-tiered crown, the highlight of the three-day Royal Coronation ceremony, two years after the monarch ascended the throne.

The 66-year-old monarch, dressed in a bejewelled golden robe, was handed the Crown of Victory that weighs 7.3 kilograms, which he placed on his head. HM the King then issued his First Royal Command: “I shall continue to protect, develop and reign with righteousness for the benefit and happiness of the people.”
