Hunt for pickup driver after fatal motorbike hit and run in Nakhon Pathom

Police are hunting for the driver of a pick-up truck caught on camera seemingly killing a woman motorcyclist on a Nakhon Pathom road on Tuesday morning, pausing for two minutes to watch, and then fleeing the scene.

Since the front passenger of the pickup lowered the window to observe the victim, the faces of both the passenger and the driver were clearly recorded by the security camera at the spot.
Pol Captain Sakchai Kongrattanapornchai of the Nakhon Chaisi police station said the accident happened on a road near the Tha Chalaeb railway police station in Moo 5 village in Tambon Sisathong of Nakhon Chaisi district.
The victim was identified as Yupha Meechaithat, 59.
There were no witnesses at the scene, police checked footage of a security camera and saw a white pickup with a Bangkok TorKhor 39 licence number hitting the motorcycle. The pickup then stopped there for two minutes and pulled back seemingly to disengage from the bike, before fleeing the scene. When the pickup pulled back, the front passenger’s window could be seen open.
Police will issue a summons order for the owner of the pickup to meet with them.
