HM the King presides over Ploughing ceremony inside Chitralada Palace

His Majesty the King on Thursday presided over a ploughing ceremony inside the Chitralada Palace that was also attended by his younger sister, HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.

The king conducted the ritual at paddy fields and farms inside the palace before proceeding to chair an official ceremony at Sanam Luang conducted to mark Ploughing Day.
After the king left, the princess visited several projects which were being renovated, including the new rice mill and dairy farm.
The princess also visited a rice exhibition entitled “Following the footsteps of the father” at the Rice Department’s exhibition hall.
The projects inside the Chitralada Palace was initiated by the late King Rama IX, who organised several agricultural projects as models and allowed people to observe the work.
