Blackout as storm brings down power poles in Korat district

Power poles on the Khong Ban-Luam Hak road in Tambon Nong Manao were toppled and several houses and silos were damaged during the storm, officials said.

The Manao Tambon Administrative Organisation had yet to survey the damage with a view to seeking help from the provincial administration for the affected villagers.
The district electricity office cut power to the damaged poles and said it might take up to two days to re-erect them and rewire power cables to the area.
