Wandee Ratchomphu, the Mae Chan district chief, and the police inspected the site in Ban Pongtong-Ton Hang village in Tambon Mae Chan of Mae Chan district.

The bones were burned some time ago although an ankle was found unburned. 
Police believe the person was murdered elsewhere and burned at the site.
