Baby giraffe makes first public appearance 
 
The Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chon Buri on Thursday introduced a baby giraffe born at the zoo last week to the public.

Atthaporn Sriheran, director of the zoo, said the baby was born on Friday to Bow, a 10-year-old giraffe, and her 15-year-old mate, Jay. 
Atthaporn said the baby is Bow&rsquo;s first, and added that the baby is healthy and able to walk alongside its mother and father in its first public appearance.&nbsp; 
The director urged children to visit the baby giraffe and said a competition to name the zoo&rsquo;s latest member would soon be launched.
