The ongoing trade war between the US and China has had an impact on Thai exports worth up to US$2.1 billion this year alone, according to research by Kasikorn Research Centre released on Friday.

The research said that if the negotiations between USA and China were unable to put a stop to a proposed increase in tariffs on a further US$300 billion of good, the impact to Thailand exports would reach US$3.1 billion in 2019.

This would also impact the country's exports going into 2020, the research said.
