A group of 21 youths were rounded up by police after using a Facebook page to schedule a road race in Nonthaburi on Thursday night.

Police learned of the plan from the Facebook page and staked out the car park at the Tesco Lotus shopping mall on Kanchanapisek Road in Nonthaburi’s Bang Bua Thong district.

As 21 teens began revving their 15 motorcycles to prepare for the race, police came out from hiding to arrest them.

Police will later summon Saranyu Phukun, 20, the administrator of the Sor Jor Bang Bua Thong page to face charges of encouraging illegal road racing.
