A colourful and unusual ceremony commemorating His Majesty the King’s 67th birthday was held on Sunday at Nongnooch Garden and Resort Pattaya, one of Chon Buri’s most famous attractions.

Director Kampol Tansajja and his managers and staff joined visitors in offering blessings in front of a portrait of His Majesty.

This was followed by a series of impressive stage performances, including one in which three elephants knelt before the portrait and, with their trunks, wrote “Long Live the King” in legible Thai script.
