Over 100 rounded up in Samut Prakan gambling den

Police and Interior Ministry officials raided a building in Samut Prakan’s Bang Bo district Thursday evening and rounded up 116 gamblers. 

The officials from the Provincial Administration Department and Bang Bo police station were led by Bang Bo district chief Ek Sophitthanon and Bang Bo police chief Pol Col Sorawit Sukpaet to check an one-storey building on Soi Ratanarat 1 at 7pm following a tip-off.

The officers spotted 40 motorcycles and some 50 cars parked in building’s compound and on entering the premises, found 101 gamblers and 15 staff. 

The officers seized Bt500,000 cash and several items of gambling equipment before taking the suspects to record the arrest at the Bang Bo district office and handing then over to Bang Bo police.
