Five more arrest warrants issued for bomb and arson attacks 

The Criminal Court today approved the issue of another five arrest warrants for another four unidentified men accused of planting bombs and carrying out arson attacks in Bangkok last month.


A total of 14 Thai men with Arabic names, have been positively identified among the 26 arrest warrants already issued. The latest four men have not been identified by names in the arrest warrants approved today (September 2)


The first 14 include the two men already in police custody - Luai-Sae Ngae and Wildan Maha, who were arrested the next day after a homemade bomb was placed in front of Royal Thai Police headquarters in Bangkok on August 2.


The 14 men have been charged with a total of 26 offences and counts including criminal conspiracy, planting explosive and arsons which would lead to injuries or death among the public, as well as possessing and carrying around explosives and firearms.


All offences carry a minimum prison term of more than 20 years.
