Sa Kaew man arrested in marijuana bust

Angry neighbours called on police to arrest a man for allegedly planting and selling marijuana to teens in a village of Sa Kaew’s Wang Somboon district.

Sa Kaew police responded to the call at 5pm on Tuesday, raiding the house of 51-year-old Janchai Cherdchu, and arresting him. 

Police found 25 marijuana plants growing in front of and around the house.

Janchai admitted growing the plant for his own use and sell it selling to teens in the village.

Neighbours became angry when they saw Grade 7 and 8 students coming to the house to buy and smoke marijuana after school and alerted police.
