Finnish mission due for cooperation drive in smart energy and circular economy

Nina Vaskunlahti, Finland's Deputy Minister and Under-Secretary of State for External Economic Relations , will lead a delegation of 12 Finnish companies and business representatives to Thailand for an official visit from September 30 to October 1.

Talks in Bangkok will focus on promoting cooperation in the fields of smart energy and circular economy.
In 2018, Mika Lintilä, former Minister of Economic Affairs of Finland, led a "Team Finland" export promotion trip to Thailand, marking the country's first official ministerial visit to Thailand in almost 14 years.
The Vaskunlahti-led delegation arriving in Bangkok on Monday comprises executives from twelve companies, ranging from the largest Finnish corporations to mid-sized, innovative technology providers with disruptive business models. What unites them is their capability to solve the huge challenges in smart energy grid management, waste management, biofuel production and other waste to energy and circular economy related issues.
There are countless benefits through co-operation between Thai and Finnish companies. As a rising star in the fields of innovation and sustainability, Thailand has a vast pool of companies operating in the same areas as their Finnish counterparts.
By exploring business opportunities together in smart energy, bio & circular economy, biomass, waste management and waste to energy and smart grids, they can solve crucial challenges related to these areas in a true spirit of co-operation.
