Lunlabelle case: Rachadech settles into prison, party host bailed

Chaiyapol Panna, owner of the Bangkok house where event model Thitima “Lunlabelle” Noraphanpiphat was last seen alive, was bailed out of police custody on Friday (September 27) by his sister, who presented cash collateral at Nonthaburi Court.

Chaiyapol is charged with criminal association in relation to the death last week of the 25-year-old model, who had been hired to entertain guests at the party.
Chaiyapol’s sister, who asked that her name be withheld from the public, expressed certainty that no criminal or indecent activity took place at her brother’s house.
“It is also not true that the ‘pretties’ at the party were forced to pose for obscene photos or videos,” she said, using the common term for professional presenters.
A male model also hired for the party, Rachadech “Nam Oon” Wongthabutr, took up his cell at Thon Buri Remand Prison on Thursday without mishap, its director Somphop Rujjanawet said.
Rachadech, also 25, is charged with detaining Thitima against her will and indecent assault. He was denied bail by Thonburi Criminal Court.
“This prison is equipped with security cameras and inmates are monitored 24 hours a day,” Somphop said. “I insist there is no ‘harassing the new guy’ ritual, as has been said on the social media.”
