North-Northeast to become warmer with morning fog, rain forecast in the South

A slight rise in temperature with morning fog is likely in the North and the Northeast, while isolated heavy rain will continue over the South, the Thailand Meteorological Department announced on Monday (October 21).

The department attributed the weather conditions to the weakening of a high-pressure system over the North, the Northeast, and the South China Sea. The weak northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf and the South. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash flooding and water runoff.
The department cautioned drivers to be aware of poor visibility until October 23. From October 24 on, the South will experience heavy rain and all ships should proceed with caution and keep away from storms.

The weather forecast for the next 24 hours is as follows:
Northern region: Cool weather and fog in the morning, cold weather on hilltops; temperature lows of 21-23 degrees and highs of 33-35 degrees Celsius.
Northeastern region: Cool weather and fog in the morning, cold weather on hilltops, temperatures lows 22-23 degrees and highs of 33-34 degrees Celsius.
