Shabushi sets three-pronged growth strategy

Shabushi restaurant chain, under the management of Oishi Group, has outlined a three-pronged approach to growth in its 2020 business plan (October 2019-September 2020).

Oishi Group Executive Vice President-Food Division, Paisarn Aowsathaporn, said the three are driving organic growth, driving operational excellence, and store expansion to reach new customer segments.
Shabushi, a Japanese hot pot restaurant chain, is the major brand of Oishi, contributing 60 to 65 per cent of the group's total sales. Currently, Shabushi operates 149 branches in Bangkok and other cities in the country.
Shabushi will adopt three models for store expansion. First is the Light Store Format covering a space of 150-170 square metres with between 48-65 seats. It will spearhead the chain's penetration into secondary cities.
The second is the hybrid store format which will stay open round the clock. The first of this 24-hour store is located at Samyan Mitrtown mixed-use project on Rama IV Road.
The third is the Tier Pricing Format for premium customers, to be set up in upscale shopping malls.
