Krungsri to cut MLR, juristic person deposit rates
Seiichiro Akita, president and chief executive of the Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsri), announced on Monday (November 11) that the bank will adhere to the Bank of Thailand’s policy announced last Wednesday and lower its policy rate for MLR (Minimum Lending Rate) by 0.25 percentage point and juristic person deposit rate by 0.05-0.35 percentage point.
“The MLR will go down from 6.60 to 6.35 per cent to alleviate cost burden of business clients amidst today’s economic challenges nowadays,” he said. “Meanwhile, the lowering of deposit rate for juristic clients will not affect individual clients and non-profit juristic clients.”
“The new interest rates will be effective today (November 12),” he added.
