Cold in North, wet and windy in South

The strong high-pressure over Thailand continues to bring cool to cold weather and strong winds over the upper part of the country, with the North and Northeast experiencing minimum temperatures of 5-14 degrees Celsius.

It is very cold in the mountains with frost in some areas and minimum temperatures ranging from 1-8°C. The Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East region are also forecast to stay cool, with minimum temperatures ranging from 13-20°C.
Further south meanwhile, the strong northeast monsoon across the Gulf will bring strong winds, whipping waves up to a height to 2 metres from Chumphon northwards and in the Andaman Sea, and 2-3 metres on the lower Gulf from Surat Thani southward.
People along the eastern coastline of the South should beware of inshore surges. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats around the lower Gulf keep ashore.
