Central Village is CPN’s latest luxury retail outlet, located next to the Suvarnabhumi Airport.
The dispute between Airports of Thailand (AOT) and Central Pattana (CPN) escalated after AOT blocked the entrance to Central Village with boards, a week before the opening of the outlet in August, saying it “trespasses the airport's flying zone”.
In a final verdict, the Administrative Court ruled that opening national highway no 370 for access to the CPN outlet would not interfere with AOT’s operation.
The court said AOT's claim that opening the linkage would increase traffic in front of the outlet, affecting the travel of air passengers to the airport, service standards, and the airport's development plan was only a presumption.
It has yet to decide whether highway no 370 is a immovable state property, under the supervision of AOT.
