Vietnamese woman arrested at Suvarnabhumi for 'using false identity'

A Vietnamese woman was arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport on Tuesday (December 31) for allegedly travelling on a false identity.

Immigration Police spokesman Pol Colonel Cherngron Rimpadee revealed that on Tuesday a suspicious-looking foreigner at the check-in counter of the airport was detained.
Nguyen Thi Mai Ngov, 20, a Vietnamese woman, carried a Polish Alien Residence permit card of a person with an identical appearance. Police became suspicious and invited her for a biometric test. The results did not match the database. On interrogation, she reportedly said she had entered Thailand for a day and took a chance when the airport was crowded in the festive season to travel to Amsterdam, Netherlands, and then to Germany for work.
She was arrested for using another person's identity document and would be interrogated to see if other people were involved in her actions.
