112 students at Chiang Mai scout camp hospitalised due to food poisoning
Scores of students of Montfort College in Chiang Mai province had to be admitted to Sansai Hospital on Tuesday after they showed symptoms of food poisoning during a scout camp.
On Monday, 400 Mathayom 2 students were having their meals consisting of rice, chicken and boiled eggs when many of them started vomiting and having stomach ache.
Chiang Mai’s provincial governor has expressed concern about the incident and requested the officials to follow up on the situation closely.
A majority of the 112 students admitted to the hospital have recovered and are ready to return home but four of them are undergoing more treatment.
