Some thundershowers likely in central and eastern Thailand

The Thailand Meteorological Department forecast on Wednesday (January 15) that a high-pressure system remains over the Northeast of the country and the South China Sea while the westerly trough at high altitude still blows cold air from the Himalayas to the North and the upper Northeast. The mornings will be cool to cold with possible isolated patchy fog in the North and the Northeast.

The department also mentioned that the southeasterly winds prevailing across the Central and the East would bring thundershowers. The easterly winds still prevail across the Gulf with less rain possible in the South.
