Cooler weather forecast for most of the country

Another high-pressure system from China will reach the Northeast of Thailand and the South China Sea at midnight on February 16 while weak easterly winds prevail across the Gulf. Cool to cold conditions in the mornings will continue in the North and the Northeast, lowering temperatures by 2-4 degrees Celsius in the North and 1-3°C in the Northeast, Central and the East. In the South, the weak winds and waves are likely in the Gulf.

From February 16-19, cool to cold weather will accompany strong winds and reduce temperatures by 4-6°C in the Northeast. The Central and the East regions will have cool weather and lower temperatures by 1-3°C. People have been advised to take care of their health because of the variable weather.

From February 17-20, the South will have more rains with stronger winds and waves likely in the Gulf. From Nakhon Si Thammarat southwards, waves up to 2-3 metres high are forecast. All ships in the lower Gulf should proceed with caution, and small boats should keep ashore, the department advised.

Bangkok metropolis and its vicinity will see partly cloudy skies with minimum temperature at 24-25°C and maximum temperature at 34-35°C. Southeasterly winds will blow at 10-20 km/hr.
