SET falls in wake of NESDC's cut in GDP growth forecast

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) closed at 1,513.68 today (February 18), declining 13.57points or 0.89 per cent from Monday's close with a trade volume of Bt49.27 billion.

The SET index moved between 1,510.52. and 1,522.33 in the day's trading. 
Tisco Securities predicted the Index to move sideways downwards with support at 1,515-1,523 points and resistance at 1,535-1,542 , following the cut in gross domestic product growth forecast by the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC).
The top ten stocks with the highest trade values were BAM , AOT, PTTGC, KBANK, BEM, ADVANC, BBL, SCB, CPALL, and GPSC.

Elsewhere in Asia, Japan’s Nikkei index closed at 23,193.80, down 329.44 points, or 1.40 per cent.
China’s Shanghai SE Composite index closed at 2,984.97, up 1.35 points, or 0.045 per cent, while Shenzhen SE Component index closed at 11,306.49, up 64.99 points, or 0.58 per cent.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index closed at 27,530.20, down 429.40 points, or 1.54 per cent.
South Korea’s KOSPI index closed at 2,208.88, down 33.29 points, or 1.48 per cent.
Taiwan’s TAIEX index closed at 11,648.98, down 114.53 points, or 0.97 per cent.
